Volunteering with us
Volunteers

We need volunteer "Play/Youth Workers" to help children and young people with learning and/or physical disabilities, and their parents or carers, to have fun on one evening each week: either a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evening, from 6pm until 7.30pm.
Keen to volunteer?

Rather than send out application forms, we would much rather meet you! Contact us, and we’ll arrange a time for you to come in and chat about exactly what’s involved in volunteering with us (it should only take around twenty minutes). If we’re all happy, then we can go on to explain the paperwork involved. and get the ball rolling!

Volunteer training

The best way to get to know people is to spend time with them! We offer lots of practical support to volunteers on our evening groups. To build on what you learn during our groups, we have a training programme too.
Before "covid", we had on average a sixty strong group of volunteers, including our voluntary management committee and board of trustees. We are slowly increasing the number of volunteer play/youth workers in the hope that we can return to our pre-pandemic numbers.
